El Dorado
Kewpie's Klassic Kreation of
Arenosa x Kewpie's Silver Reinbow
El
Dorado was
partly a
birthday gift for Brianna. We were convinced by an Arenosa
breeder and protege of Mrs Audrey Barrett (creator of the Arenosa
line), Cheryl DeSpain Wilson that we needed to breed the Arenosa
Shetlands. Larry had been transporting Arenosas for some time,
We brought him home along with a filly and fell in love with the
look and the bloodline.
El Dorado was shown as a
yearling and a two year old. He won many
Champions of Champions and Supreme awards as well as placing twice in
the AMHR
National Top Three junior stallions. He was the first Arenosa
shown in the Northwest and his successes spawned an industry here in
the top-left corner of the United States.
El Dorado has been
successful in passing on his beauty, temperament,
athleticism, and conformation to all his get. His distinct
palomino color is a strong dilute gene and his babies inherit that.
Check out his progeny on our sales page.

A Classic Touch Poco de Echo
Diablo's Echo of
Arenosa x Kewpie's Ariana of Arenosa
Poco
came to us from our good friends Mel and Dorothy
Broadhead in Auburn, Wyoming. Poco was already a proven stallion
when he came to Miniature Ventures and he was a special friend of
Mel's.
It took some time for Poco to settle in here but he
is at home now and has sired gorgeous babies, including some who
have taken championships at horse shows.
Poco is 100% Arenosa
and carries a strong pinto gene which he passes on to his
get. He isn't homozygous but the majority of his babies have been
either colored or palomino. They all are quite the movers and
we're delighted with refinement he stamps onto his get. We have several
youngsters sired by Poco on our sales page.

Alamos Locomotion Bay
Escapade
Little Kings
Locomotion x French Broad Bay Dancer
Thirty-one inch Bay
Escapade is a bright bay son of the
immortal "Locomotion": multiple grand and supreme
champion and son of Buckeroo. "Eskie", a multiple champion
himself, is nearly the image
of his sire with big eyes, straight legs, and a remarkable gait.
We are most proud of his AMHA National Level accomplishments
including National Reserve Futurity Driving Champion in 1998 and top
ten placing in Country Pleasure Driving and top twenty placing in
Gentlemen's Single Pleasure Driving. Not bad at all considering
he was the shortest stallion in every class. He has done
extremely well in halter, reaching the National top ten as well.
Since he was retired from the show
ring, Eskie has gone on to prove himself as a sire. The majority
of his get have "the look" so desired for showing, His babies all
have huge, expressive eyes. Every foal he has sired has inherited
the oh-so-wanted floating trot that helps create driving champions.
Check out some of his babies on our sales page.

Sons of Sooner
State Raider Light and Future Miniature Sires.
First foals due from Jeffrey's
Pride (Jeffie) in Spring 2009. These young stallions inherited many of
their traits from our beloved Raider. We are hoping to see great
things from them. Losing Raider left a huge hole in our breeding
program
for miniatures. His sons are like him in many ways. We have
one young stallion, Raider's Image (not pictured) who will be exposed
to his first ladies this year.
